Dear members,
Pakistan United has successfully sent over 5 dispatchments till now. These included 200 tents, a 100 gas stoves, medicines for around 1000 people, ration for more than a 100 families and much more.
We are now going to be funding the stationary of a newly constructed school in a village near the outskirts of DG Khan.
The army has requested bags and books of 300 children of grade 5, 6 and 7. Along with this we will also be funding a water cooler for the children.
The 6th dispatchment will inshAllah leave on the 25th of September.
Pakistan United is also planning to adopt and completely reconstruct an entire village. For those interested in adopting families or donating money please contact us. We are working vigorously on this project but due to military formalities it might take some time for us to officially get a contract. Reconstructing an entire village requires a lot of funds, with winters approaching so quickly we urge you all to please start donating as much money as you can.
For further details please contact any of the admins.
**If anyone wants to fund one school bag(with stationary) for a child, the cost of said bag will be around Rs500/-each. This will include the bag itself, textbooks, extra copies and a pencil box and a pack of color pencils.
We also have a future trip planned, if any member wants to accompany us please fill the membership form and mail it to pakistanunited10@gmail.com
Rise up citizen of Pakistan and do your part.

Why the army?
For all those wondering WHY we choose to work with the army, please take a look at the following points.
1.Chinooks. It takes thousands of liters of fuel per hour for the Chinook to fly, and due to this limitation, they only fly when they are at full capacity. Otherwise it is not feasible for the army to fly them. In fact, the situation is so desperate that the army at times prefers not to even land them at the destination, just because of the huge amount of oil consumption in landing and take off process. Idle Chinooks are a huge opportunity cost to the nation; as they can carry thousands of Kgs and in doing so, serve thousands of families.
Our motto is simple: WHY NOT FILL THE CHINOOKS RATHER THAN FILLING TRUCKS?
2. Distribution. We as individuals or even NGO’s do not possess enough resources to efficiently manage all the stocks and distribute them. One truck costs about 26000, or a shehzore costs about 8000 (estimated). Instead of incurring these costs on our own, and then sending trucks to locations which are already easily accessible to everyone through roads, what we can do is leave it to the army. They already have enough logistics and resources to efficiently manage all this.
LET DISTRIBUTION BE THEIR HEAD ACHE, AND PROVIDING THEM WITH GOODS BE OURS!
3. Security. We as students do not have enough resources to ensure the safety of the stock, in effect endangering our own and other people's lives. There have been numerous incidents where trucks have been looted and people being shot en route. True, these events are rare, especially in more well known cities, but the remote villages are vulnerable to these attacks. So its better for almost everyone to let this be handled by an institution responsible for the safe keeping of our country.
STAY SAFE!
4. Inconvenience. By setting up our own camps everywhere, we are being an inconvenience to the government and the army, especially if we ask for their help for security, support and logistics anyway. Incase we do set up a camp it will only be for strict fundraising possibilities.
BE A STEPPING STONE, NOT AN OBSTACLE.
5. Locations. How do we identify the targets? This is one of the major problems faced by us all. True, it is very easy to send trucks filled with relief items to NOWSHERA or KOT-ADDU, but that’s not exactly the solution we should be looking for, now should we? Unless we can perfectly manage to identify the right locations to distribute aid, and ensure that we can actually access them, given our limited resources, there really is no point. The reason why we stress on army is that they have a game plan, at least somewhat if not a very comprehensive one, and they are strategically dealing with the situation.
DONATE, BUT THE RIGHT GOODS ,AT THE RIGHT PLACE, AND AT THE RIGHT TIME
Our model is very simple, we receive specific dispatch requirements, gather as much aid as possible, pack it as required and deliver. It’s simple, small-scale, and efficient. We are not working FOR the army, we are not working FOR any organizations, all we are trying to do is
-Utilize maximum resources by saving money and trying to find cheapest possible goods(which is why cash donations are preferred as we try to buy in bulk),
-To facilitate transactions between civilians and the army/NGO’s.
We will ensure the safe delivery of our donations through our personal contacts. You will receive a receipt against any cash donations made and we would appreciate it you donated exactly what we ask of you, which will be exactly what the affectees require.

3rd dispatchment update
Dear Members,
Our third dispatchment has been successfully distributed in Mehmood kot,Muzaffargarh(including area surrounding thermal power plant), MashAllah.
We will upload pictures as soon as we receive them. The 3rd dispatchment was sent through our volunteers, accompanied by Pakistan Rangers. Our 4rth dipatchment will inshAllah be sent on either Tuesday night, or Wednesday morning.
From this point onwards, Pakistan United will be focusing on working to collect aid for the Pakistani Army only.
Our motto is simple, instead of gathering aid which results in useless unwanted items there, and massive wastage of resources, we use our resources where required. We wait for orders from people working with army personnel, and then focus on the NEEDED items. It has proved to be effective and efficient. We urge everyone else to do the same.
